that the United States is aclosed market for British heavy commercial vehicles, Leyland Motors, Ltd., is taking the bold step of exhibiting a wide range at the British Motor Show in New York in April.

The company hopes to show the following models:—(1) The Olympic underfloor-engined model; (2) a complete Tiger PS2 coach with bodywork for Wallace Arnold Tours, Ltd.; (3) a complete oilfield vehicle—the Super Hippo, as used by the Shell Petroleum company',. (4) a Comet articulated vehicle, and (5) a Comet dump truck.

On the commercial side, the Ford Motor Co., Ltd., Dagenham, will he showing only its lightweight vehicles. The company's exhibit will include examples of the Fordson 5-cwt. and 10-cwt, van for overseas use. Differing from the home model, the overseas 5-cwt. vehicle is fitted with the larger engine normally installed in the 10-cwt. -van.

No decision has yet been made by Rootes, Ltd., as to whether any of its range of commercial vehicles will be shown at New York. It is, however, possible that the Commer 8-cwt. Supervan will be seen.
