Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• SP Tyres has launched two Dunlop heavy truck tyres. The SP231 is designed as an on/off road trailer tyre; the SP81 1 is an addition to the Dunlop "Repro" range of factory retreads.

The SP231 is available as a 385/65 R 22.5 wide-single trailer tyre, aimed principally at on/off-road use such as tipping semi-trailers used in construction and animal-feed deliveries. Design feature-, include a four-rib tread pattern instead of five, with tie bars between the tread blocks.

In addition, SP Tyres claims a particularly robust shoulder construction and extra deep 16.8mm tread.

Adding to Dunlop's "Repro Plus" retread range is the lowprofile on/off road SP811, available as a 295/80R 22.5 for both steer and drive-axle applications. Features include a 2.5mmthick kerbing band from the tyre buttress to the mid-sidewall on both sides of the tyre, allowing the tyre to be turned to extend mileage.
