• Magyar has sold its first mild steel tanker into the UK. It has joined Linkman Tankers' fleet at Batley, West Yorks, and is operating on contract to nearby Croda Hydrocarbons, carrying high viscosity bituminous products at 180°C to the Continent.
The 27,000-litre ADR/IMO 4-approved, single-compartment tanker runs on SAF airsprung tri-axles and has a payload potential of 23 tonnes at 38 tonnes gross.
Its 150mm Rockwool insulation with thermal breakpoints at critical areas minimise heat loss, but emergency immersion tubes are included should reheating be necessary.
