SPD has formed a new distribution company to handle Birds Eye frozen food distribution needs. The new company, Unicold, is expected by the SPD group to react more quickly to changes in the frozen food industry and to develop potential away from the Unilever field. The company's managing director will be Mr Eric Meadows, a member of the parent company's board.
