• Just before the opening of the Amsterdam Show I had the chance of sampling one of the new OAF tilt-cab models featured there and also at the Geneva Show (CM February W. Pictured above, it was an F 2000 four-wheeler loaded to gross about 15 tons and the vehicle was driven around the OAF test track at Eindhoven.
With the 8.25 litre, 156 bhp net naturally aspirated diesel there was a lively per
formance, and noise level inside the cab was commendably low. Visibility was firstclass and the 2000 proved to be a very comfortable vehicle to drive, with light steering and well-designed controls. Performance testing of braking, acceleration and so on was not possible but there was every sign that the model would give a good account of itself on the usual CM
