FURTHER TO CMs article about London LGV drivers facing cycle awareness training (CM 29 November), why are cycle helmets not going to be mandatory in the same way that motorcycle helmets are?
Many cyclists travel faster than a motorcyclist in central London, making them prone to serious head injuries. It will be interesting to see how MPs tackle these problems and whether they will take into account misdemeanours carried out by cyclists. Or will they just be concentrating on motor vehicles?
