Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Ainscough Engineering has launched a PSV contract maintenance scheme, where the operator carries out the work in his own workshop, which can show savings of up to 16%.

Any size or age of fleet can be covered by the five-year contracts but major units in older vehicles may be excluded for the first six months. Also small fleets may need to be grouped under one contract to make a workable number.

Having entered into a contract, Ainscough will supply the operator's workshop with service siieets, a service guide, specialist tools and any training necessary. The operator pays a monthly premium to Ainscough which in turn reimburses the operator for the work carried out.

Savings are made from ensuring that the vehicle is being well serviced and run more efficiently, unscheduled downtime is reduced and regular engine oil analysis is carried out to look for signs of impending trouble. Vehicles may also return improved fuel consumption figures. For more information circle turbo number 60.
