iii Haulier Cormal Highland has had environmental conditions imposed on its Glasgow depot, even though it is abandoning the site next month to merge with sister TDG company Inter-City Transport.
Connal asked Scottish Licensing Authority Keith Waterworth for permission to continue basing 82 vehicles and 89 trailers at the Craigmont Street depot for the time being.
But neighbours presented a 25-signature petition complaining about noise from Carman 24-hour operation.
They also claimed that they had been abused by staff when they went to protest about the noise (CM 1-7 November).
Waterworth granted Connal's request, but banned outside maintenance at night, jet washing of vehicles at certain times and the use of a tannoy system. He also imposed restrictions on revving at night.
