Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FERNDOWN BYPASS 11 The 5.5km Ferndown Bypass on the A31 is now open, two months ahead of schedule.

Built by A E Farr of Westbury at a cost of £5.78 million, the new section will keep heavy traffic away from Ferndown and is also designed to attract traffic away from the A348 Poole road to the A349.

The bypass links a new roundabout on the A31 at Palmersford Bridge, west of Ferndown, to a roundabout near Ameysford Road from which a spur road runs to the Ferndown Industrial Estate. It rejoins the A31 at the eastern end of Wimborne Bypass at Canford Bottom.
