Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Dal twin-engined Paris-Dakar Rally truck which was displayed =bodied at the Paris show in October has been completed. The Turbo Twin 11 differs from Dafs Paris-Dakar trucks of previous years mainly in the lighter materials which have been used in its construction. The chassis frame and body sub frame are all aluminium while the body's panels are made from glass fibre-reinforced polyester.

Like previous Turbo Twins, this one is powered by two DKZ 11.6 litre engines, mounted between the axles. Revised tuning, with two new turbochargers on each engine, has taken each of their power outputs to 369kW (495hp).

The Turbo Twin 11 has aluminium wheels and twin-caliper disc brakes on both axles.

Daf will have two other entries in the non-volume-pro

duced 10 tonnes-plus category on the 1987 Paris-Dakar r-ally, which starts on January 1 (CM December 6). They are 4x4 FAV 3600s with single DKZ 1160 engines.

Jan deRooy, the Dutch haulier who has driven Dais in several previous Paris-Dakar rallies will again be driving the Turbo Twin this time.
