• Up to 4,000 distribution staff covered by the largest single agreement in road transport are set to be balloted for industrial action in the continuing dispute at Exel Logistics.
Warehouse workers and drivers are due to vote on industrial action, including the option of a strike—the result is expected next month.
The Exel staff, most of whom belong to the Transport and General Workers Union or the Amalgamated Engineering & Electrical Union, have already rejected a 3.5% offer from the company. They were transferred to Exel when it took over its NEC stablemate, BRS.
