• Since the French revolution, government by people on the streets has been a way of life there. In the UK, this approach is unacceptable.
To advocate a similar fight by UK lorry drivers in protest at VED is a way of forcing one part of the population to pay for another.
There are other ways of achieving change, and I hope the French drivers realise this before they lose what they already have. Robert Wileman,
