Spectra orders pass 60 mark

• Optare has taken orders for more than 60 Daf-powered Spectra double-deckers since its launch last October.
London Buses has increased its order to 25, the first of which will be delivered next month. One will go to the Metroline company in west London, the others to south-east Londonbased London Central.
A substantial order has been placed by an tumamed customer understood to be buying the first low-height Spectras with an adapted version of the Alusuisse body system. The Metrorider will account for up to 60% of units delivered says the company.
