Doonin limited • Maintenance problems have led Scottish Licensing Authority Keith Waterworth to renew the 13 vehicle and two trailer licence of Doonin Plant, of Cambuslang, in Strathclyde, for one year only.
Centre warning • North Yorkshire-based Dooks Haulage was given a warning over the use of an unauthorised operating centre, when the firm appeared at a Darlington public inquiry. Dooks was granted authority to move the operating centre of its three vehicles and trailers from Lingdale to Saltburn.
Court first • The application hearing for a new six-vehicle licence by Ian Osborne-Shaw, trading as Sussex Tipper Services, has been adjourned by South Eastern and Metropolitan LA Michael Turner because of pending prosecutions before the Steyning magistrates.
Witness fails • The trial of Gordon Millership, transport manager of Rowley Regis-based Millership Transport, who has denied causing a driver to falsify tachograph charts, was adjourned by the Warley magistrates after a vital prosecution witness failed to appear.
