Mixconcrete's four Trac-Cess

FOUR NEW Big Chief tri-axle trailers from York Trailer have gone into 38-tonne gcw operation with Mixconcrete Transport, a subsidiary of Pioneer Concrete Services.

The all-welded high-tensile aluminium monocoque body incorporates floor panels of 6mm (0.24in) thickness while sides and tailgate panels are 4.5mm (0.18in) thick.

Reinforcement of the body sides is achieved with an extruded heavy duty top rail and pressed section bottom rail tied with extruded channel uprights and floor cross members to assist clean discharges of material.

Tr-axle running gear incorporates York-built axles and new TST suspension fitted with optional three leaf parabolic springs.

Mixconcrete also specified Skidcheck in addition to York's standard load sensing equipment.
