He was satisfied that the arrangement proposed . by the Transport Holding Company was likely to result in the best use being made of the assets of BRS (Meat Haulage) in the very difficult circumstances that at present obtained in the meat haulage trade, replied Mr. Fraser. His .qUestioner. Mr. '1, G. Bradley (Labour, Leicester North East) wanted to know if the Minister was satisfied that the interests of staff formerly employed in a nationalized undertaking had been fully protected. He was told that the THC had assured Mr. Fraser that the interests of the staff were protected by the established machinery.

Mr Pennington founded and ran for a number of years a haulage business at Spalding, Lincs. He was 67. Mr. Whiteford had been connected with the motor trade for more than 30 years, the last 15 with Tecalernit (Engineering),I.td. as a garage equipment sales engineer operating in the Bristol, Gloucester. Wiltshire, Worcester area.
