Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE article by Bill Brock entitled 'Mudwing alternative" (CM, March 2), and referring to spray suppression systems is misleading in stating that:

"Where the gap between each wheel is less than 250mm a spray suppression system is required only on rear trailing axle."

The British Standard states that in the above case, where a flap and valance system is fitted, a suppression valance shall be fitted over each wheel, continuous from the wheel flap behind the last wheel to the foremost point of the tyre on the leading axle. (Paragraph 9 of BS AU200 Part 1).
