FRANK TINSDALE Ltd, the UK concessionaire for the Dutch specialist vehicle manufacturer' Terberg, has gone into liquidation.
The collapse of the company, which was set up in 1982 by former lveco UK managing director Frank Tinsdale, follows the decision by Terberg Benschop BV to withdraw its UK agency from the Winsford, Cheshire-based company after dissatisfaction with its sales operation.
According to George Terberg, the executive responsible for UK sales, the approach of the British company "was not the right one". "Frank Tinsdale Ltd was not selling enough vehicles or working enough on after sales."
Terberg has appointed Deltayn of Great Easton, Essex as its temporary UK representative agent and hopes to appoint a permanent agent for its heavyduty range of on/off road trucks within the next two months.
Deltayn was previously res ponsible for sales of Terberg trucks in the south of England under Frank Tinsdale Ltd, and has a large stock of spares and full vehicle servicing facilities.
The liquidation is being handled by Mrs Nola Garside of accountants Harry L. Price of Manchester. Mrs Garside said Frank Tinsdale Ltd will not be regarded as a going concern rather "as a question of winding up. The company is not trading now and will not be in the future".
