A NEW TANKER cleaning station ton's western docks to service docks there and at Portsmouth. has been opened in Southamptankers operating through the Southampton Tanker Services, a newly-formed company, is operating the station at Western Avenue in the docks from 7am to 7pm on Mondays to Fridays and from 7am to 12 noon on Saturdays.
It is geared for nonhazardous chemical and food based tankers and is capable of handling three vehicles at a time. There are additional cold water washing and exterior cleaning facilities, and bays for heating through coils.
A rest room and refreshment area has been provided for drivers.
