LIVERPOOL'S proposed £.40m inner ring road is to be th, subject for joint talks between Liverpool City Council an+ Merseyside County Council.
The City Council opposes the scheme and had threatened ti call a public inquiry if the County Council "pulled rank" an+ used its statutory right to go ahead with the plan.
But Government ministers said the two authorities shouli first consult one another, and so both councils will now wonl together on a detailed new report about the road.
