Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

From HRP Sales comes the ComputerScope, designed to diagnose ignition problems. The device has a clip which is attached to the coil cable and a flexible probe which fixes to a plug lead.

A dial is divided into yellow and green sections for coil condenser, spark energy and firing voltage: a green reading indicates normal, a yellow signal a fault. Each cylinder is connected in turn.

The device can also give a dynamic compression test based on the rpm fall when individual plug leads are disconnected. Marketed by HRP Sales Ltd, 314 Balham High Road, London SW17.
