• A warehousing complex covering a total of 350,000 sq ft has been opened by the Birmingham Storage Co Ltd, a subsidiary of the Proprietors of the Hays Wharf Group. Based at Elmdon Trading Estate, Bickenhitl Lane, Marston Green, Chelmsley Wood, Warwickshire, the premises include more than 156.000 sq ft of covered storage area with an overall working height of 30ft.
Most of the transport is being provided by Midlands BRS Ltd for the large-scale storage and distribution of tea arriving through the ports of Liverpool and Avonmouth, of motor parts and also distribution to 50 branches of a supermarket chain.
