OBITUARY •

WE regret to record the deaths of MR. JOHN COOPER, MR. A. E. ArYfo and MR. C. R. POSTLETHWAITE. Mr. Cooper was a pioneer of the tyre industry. He became general sales manager of the India Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., in 1928. Later he fOlinded the Clevedon hotel group, of which he was head at the time of his death. Mr. Atyeo, who was 76, pioneered bus services in Weston-super-Mare 50 years ago, and founded the Pride of the West coach fleet.

Mr. Postlethwaite was service superintendent of the Plymouth depot of Leyland Motors, Ltd. He joined the company in 1,919.
