Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

week's massive IAA show in Hanover Scania is showcasing two new msual design concepts...

anias eXc is fuH-size truck featuring an extended Topline cab with a new interior )ncept. Configured as a long-haul tractor, the cab is 1.3m longer than a standard eeper cab making the distance from the bumper to the rear cab wall the same 3for Scania's bonneted T-truck sleeper cab.

The extra length provides an exceptionally spacious and comfortable interior iited to transcontinental runs lasting several weeks. It's meant to show what )uld be available to drivers and operators if length laws were changed," says ansen. "It's a study of living in a truck for long haulage—if the Asian silk route was iiopened in 2020! Just going up to 17.5m would mean a hell of a different truck:' Scania's STAX, (see left) al-truck concept, is a quarter-scale model designed + see how truck operators look upon the future of bonneted trucks. STAX—short "Scania Truck Advanced Xtenor"—has been created by Ole Pihlgren from Dania's Styling department. It is a future exterior concept based on the tradition f a bonnetec truck, with new styling elements and more useful proportions," he !ports. "Drawing on some styling elements of the past we have also looked well to the future, providing both driver spaciousness and room for technically dvanced solitions."

I Commercial Motor will have full details on both eXc and STU in next week's A show report. Look out for our in-depth assessment of these new vehicles nd all the other offerings from the Hanover Show.
