THE SHADOW Minister for industry, Mr Michael Heseltine, will open a conference on "Road transport efficiency" at the Cafe Royal, London, on September 30, organised by the transport and distribution specialist group of the Institute of Practitioners in Work Study, Organisation and Methods.
Other speakers are Mr G. D. Neely, NBC director of finance, on "The financial view of vehicle replacement," and Mr J. H. Adler, chief engineer, SPD Ltd, whose theme will be "A view of vehicle replacement policy."
Mr R. A. H. Aston, manager, medium truck programmes, British Leyland UK, will address delegates on "The manufacturer's role—the right vehicle for the right job."
