• Dutch transport operator Geest North Sea Line has added a bigger ship to its North Sea container services. The Geest Trader will be operating each way sailings between Rotterdam and Ipswich and Rotterdam and Hull.

Ferry switch
• P&O European Ferries has announced a reorganisation of its services operating from the Suffolk port of Felixstowe. At the end of October the vessels Pride of Suffolk and Pride of Flanders will move from the Felixstowe-Zeebrugge route to the Felixstowe-Rotterdam service, providing four freight sailings a day.
