• South Eastern & Metropolitan Deputy Licensing Authority John Stevenson has reserved dec. sion on proposals by WS Hunts Transport to vary the number of vehicles at its operating centre and to add a new operating centre. The plans are opposed by Surrey County Council, Runnymede Borough Council and local residents.
The company wants to reduce the number of vehicles authorised at 71 Brox Road, Ottershaw, Chertsey from 30 vehicles and 18 trailers to 23 vehicles and nine trailers, and to base six vehicles on land at 82 Brox Road and one vehicle and one trailer at Woodbridge Park, Guildford.
Dominic Forbes, an engineer with Surrey County Council, said the main objection to 71 Brox Road was its size.
