THE 35th edition of the ABC Freight Guide 1985-86 (Kogan Page; £12.50) contains more than 500 pages of information containing:
Lists of operators by county and town; Gazetteer of places; Addresses and phone numbers of operators; Regional thumb index; Driver agencies list; Details of the main services offered and the additional specialist services.
It also includes a guide to the emergency services around the UK.
The Guide is aimed at all those who are responsible for distributing their company's products, with information on who can do it, where they are, what they handle and how they do it.
For those who provide a service, the Guide supplies leads and contacts in the UK and overseas, with details of the support they can offer.
General road hauliers are listed according to region, Southern England; Midlands and Wales; Northern England and Scotland; and Northern Ireland. Heavy hauliers have their own section.
