RENAULT Truck Industr is to fit ZF S5-24/3 five-spe synchromesh gearboxes standard on all Dodge Series models powered by t Perkins 4.236 four-cylind engine.
This follows the ccssati of gearbox production at Luton plant and means foi speed gearboxes are no long available in the 50-Series.
Gear ratios of the S5-24, with its 271 Nm (200 lb maximum torque rating 6.34, 3.6, 2.14, 1.41 and 1 Reverse is 5.82:1
The ZF gearbox has an o side-mounted power takeand offers numerous fun combinations to make it su able for public utilities, ti ping and waste collecti, operations.
