Darlington controls lifted by Government

RESTRICTIONS on Darlington's municipal buses operating more than a mile beyond the borough boundary have been lifted.
The Government has revoked a 1925 restriction which required the undertaking to gain permission of poth United Anton-lot:ale Services and British Rail if it wished to run buses over the Borough boundary.
Darlington operates around 56 single-deck buses on local itage services.
