Uollowing its recent initiative in which it offered free collection of relief parcels for Bosnia, Red Star is providing a similar service for Radio One's "Tommy Stamp Appeal" aired on its breakfast show.
The appeal for used stamps and old phone cards aims to raise Z5m for the medical research charity Tommy's Campaign, to set up the National Research Centre in Foetal Health at London's St Thomas Hospital and to pay for baby care units in hospitals throughout the UK. The charity aims to combat the 60,000 premature births which happen yearly.
Parcels for the appeal can be delivered to any of Red Star's 277 parcel points nationwide.
