• PTRC European Transport Highways and Planning will be holding its 21st summer annual meeting on 13-17 September 1993 at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. Nine seminar topics include developments in European land use and transport, public transport planning and operations, transportation planning methods and traffic management.

Warehousing in action show
• Dynamics Warehouse 2, the exhibition which its organiser claims to be unique in demonstrating materials handling in action, will be held this year on 1-3 December at the National Agricultural Centre near Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

• The Vehicle Inspectorate is holding a three-day transport workshop designed to tackle the latest developments in plating and testing, 0-licensing, Construction and Use, tachographs and drivers' hours, goods vehicle weighing and abnormal loads.
The workshop will be held in Bristol from 12 January 1993, price £325.
