• A Special Types trailer designed to transport ocean-going yachts has been built by Miles Nunn of Whitchurch, Hants for Wareham-based Transboat, The 18m trailer is carried on four cranked monoleaf-sprung TEC axles with 215/75R 17.5in twin Pirellis to achieve a low height for its 2.9m-wide frame.
Features include a 2.5m rear frame extension to carry the rear lights and a hydraulically lifting neck section. This allows the driver to raise the front of the trailer by up to 325mm to clear obstacles.
