Dual pumps
• VOAC Hydraulics of Ossett has developed an angular axis pump with two independent flows for truck applications. The Fl Twin Flow can power a tipper and crane or combine to give a large flow.
Kooi-Aap deal
• Chipping Sodbury-based Bennett Engineering has taken over from joloda as the new UK importer of Kaoi-Aap forklifts.
Li ht axles
• A new range of trailer axles has been developed by Spicer of Wolverhampton. Axles are available in 9.4 and 10.4-tonne capacities and are claimed to be 20-30kg lighter than competitive makes.
Rear warning
• DASS UK is marketing an infra-red reversing device that warns the driver of any obstruction behind the vehicle, down to a distance of 2.75m (9ft). Made by Mentec of Cambridge, the BLIR 4000 system retails at £495.
Waste fleet
• Recently formed Ecovert subsidiary IES has ordered 20 rigid and trailer-mounted waste tankers from Whale Tankers. Ecovert is wholly owned by French water company Saur.

• Bass Breweries has awarded Marshall SPV a £650,000 contract to refurbish 170 curtain-sided trailers.
