26-tonne and 32-tonne multi-wheeler chassis would automatically qualify for drawbar operation at 35 tonnes GTW. While this is true for vehicles fitted with road-friendly suspension, those with tandem-axle suspension (2x9.5-tonne axles) will be restricted to 32.52 tonnes GTW.
Long life • Lucas has introduced a range of asbestos-free disc-brake pads for Mercedes trucks and light CVs. The company claims negligible disc wear and a 50% increase in pad life over comparable products. The pads are available through all Lucas CV braking distributors.
