Renault Truck Industries will be showing an example off its Midliner range consisting of two models specified for operation at 7.5 and 13 tonnes GVW. The Midliner was launched in September and the S08-130 7.5-tonne model on the stand will have a 3.85m wheelbase. Its Renault 797 series engine is a six-in-line 5.49 litre naturally-aspirated unit which, developing 96kW, drives through a ZF S5.35 five speed gearbox.
Introduced at the same time was the updated 50 Series range of lightweight van and chassis cabs. The show model is a 5.6 tonne S56-110 chassis cab with a five speed gearbox and comfort cab pack.
Renault's new G260.24 6x4 tipper chassis is now in full production at the company's Dunstable plant. It uses a Renault 9.8 litre six-in-line turbocharged engine rated at 192kW and a Renault nine speed gearbox.
The G08.120 Commando at 7.5 tonnes exemplifies the restyle and reengineering that was introduced throughout the range during the current year.
