Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

developed a cargo-lashing system for flatbed trucks and semi-trailers which automatically retightens during transit to compensate for any load settlement.

The CEI Non-Stop system is hydraulically-controlled and eliminates the need for drivers to periodically retighten lashings. Operated by a switch in the driver's cab, the Non-Stop system tightens the webbing lashings automatically every 12 minutes.

Non-Stop can be used with standard webbing lashings. A small pressure-controlled electro-hydraulic pump serves individual lashing tensioner spools bolted to the side frame of the vehicle at convenient points. Corresponding lashing hooks are fitted on the opposite side of the vehicle.

Quick-action locks allow the easy release of lashings, even under full tension. The webbing is then wound back automatically onto the spool, and in the process is scraped clean of any dirt or snow.

Typical cost of the multilashing Non-Stop system is around £5,000. For further details contact Cargo Equipment International on 0656 645521.

TRACKING ON PERMACOLD BODIES • Weston-Super-Mare-based Concargo's latest Permacold insulated body system can now be ordered with side panels recessed to take load restraint tracking.

The standard GRP panel, consisting of pressure injected urethane foam has internal strengthening members and an inner skin which is deformed to suit the type of track required.
