TIUNDEE Corporation proposes the Mein-1-/ mon of a new town and country bus terminal at Dundee West station within the complex of new buildings which will be made possible by the Tay Road Bridge completion. Planning permission in principle has been given to the scheme.

It is proposed to have separate entry and exit areas so that traffic will move smoothly into and out of the station, which wilr handle both town and district services. In the meantime town services will be carried on Dock Street at the point where the new bridge touches the Dundee side.

If the ground were available a new Corporation bus garage would he located in the area and an overhead bridge system would link the bus terminal with the nearby Taybridge rai!way station. Similarly, light bridges would link the bus terminal with the city centre and the new complex of cultural buildings proposed for the north side of the Tay.
