Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A LARGE-SCALE survey to establish

exactly the numbers and types of vehicles operated by members is to be undertaken by the Road Haulage Association. The resulting statistical picture of the Association will, says the RHA, give a clear and accurate idea of the numerical importance of its members in the road haulage industry.

A simple form is being sent to each of the 17.500 members and the information will eventually be processed by the punch card equipment recently installed at head office.

The Metropolitan and South Eastern and South Wales areas have been selected to receive the first survey forms and the results of this initial project will be analysed before members situated in the RHA's other 13 areas are approached early in January.
