Surrey County Council has accepted the tender of W. J. Lavender, Ltd., for. the hire of tipping lorries in connection with the Beverley and Pye Brooks improvement scheme. The charges are as follow :-30 cwt., 4s. 3d. per hour; 2i tons and 3 tons, 4s. 6d. per hour; 5 tons, 6s. 6d. per hour.
Austin Capacities Up to Date.
The following body capacities should be substituted for those given in the report, in last week's issue, of the exhibits on the Austin stand at the Commercial Motor Show : —7 h.p. van, 55f cubic ft.; 10 h.p. van, 88 cubic ft.; 12 h.p. van, 118 cubic ft.
