ESSEX-BASED Garrett Transport has revealed details of a £175,000 deal to provide warehouse and transportation services to NHS supplier Tristel.
Tristel, based in Newmarket, Cambridgeshire, supplies medical sterilants to the NHS, and the partners have been working together for the past few months.
The medical supplier, which has an annual turnover of £9m, plans to expand into Europe and Asia in the next ive years and more than double its current turnover. If successful, Palletforce member Garrett is likely to see the value of its contract with Tristel increase to about £500,000 a year.
Peter Oates, production and warehousing manager at Tristel, says: “We chose Garrett Transport because it had a total solution to our requirements in terms of transport and warehousing. It is quick to respond to any of our requirements and it couldn’t put themselves out any more for us.” Garrett joined Palletforce in December 2008.
