Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Toyota launched its new Hilux; Nissan showed off the King Cab version of the recently unveiled Navara replacement.

Toyota's evergreen Hilux, now in its sixth generation, comes with an all-new ladder-frame chassis which is claimed to increase torsional stiffness by 45%. The suspension is also new, with independent double wishbones and coil springs at the front with rear leaf springs to avoid load-bed intrusion.

Available in single and double-cab form it's 340mm longer than the outgoing model and wider, leading to increased loadarea dimensions. Power is from Toyota's 2.5-litre D-4D diesel producing an undramatic 102hp — an uprated charge-cooled version is expected next year.

The new model goes on sale in October.

Meanwhile Nissan is claiming some impressive figures for its new Navara King Cab, with a 173hp, 2.5-litre common-rail turbo-diesel and class-leading load space.
