111 The South Eastern As and Ds records that at a public inquiry a licence variation was granted in respect of its Ucicfield depot to the Mid Sussex Water Company with certain conditions.

These are that no authorised vehicle shall exceed 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight; no maintenance is carried out at the depot; authorised vehicles shall enter and leave in forward gear; reversing warning devices on authorised vehicles are to be switched off between 0800 and 1800 hours; and authorised vehicles may only enter and leave the operating centre between 0800 and 1800 hours Monday to Friday, save that one vehicle may enter and leave the site outside these times for emergency work.
