• Sheffield-based parcels carrier Tuffnells Parcels Express delivered a record number of consignments last year, increasing its throughput by 20% for the second year running.
The 1987 peak was 6,000 parcels a night, says the company, and last year also saw a strong improvement in the percentage of non-guaranteed consignments delivered the following day, with 85.8% of the parcels delivered within 24 hours and more than 96% within 48 hours.
