• HP Information has launched a statistical service to update motor trade subscribers with the latest UK vehicle financing patterns.
The statistics are packaged as monthly and quarterly reports and are based on the registration at HPI of financial interests in all vehicles.
Monthly reports are available for most vehides, including CVs. They show new and used financial registrations for each manufacturer, the makes of vehicle, totals for each month, year-to-date figures and percentage changes.
HPI will also produce eight quarterly reports with deeper analysis of car and commercial finance agreements.
Subscribing companies will also be offered customised re ports with a break down of their market share. HPI statistical report cost 210 to £12 monthly) or £114 (quarterly). An overall package is available at reduced rates for registering finance companies.
The first quarterly report, out this week, reflects the current boom in commercial sales with HP1 registrations in 1988 for heavy CVs up 52% since this time last year.
