Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Lancer Boss has launched a range of RO-RO lift trucks which, it claims, do not suffer from brake fade due to overheating.

To reduce brake heating caused by heavy use, the GH lift trucks are fitted with a Hydro 3 hydrostatic transmission which is said to offer controlled braking down to 3km/h on any gradient simply by releasing the accelerator.

Front steering wheels have a 90° lock to give a turning radius of 5.26m. The Hydro 3 system senses the angle of steer and adjusts the drive to the inner and outer wheels to reduce tyre scrub.

The overall length of the new truck is 6.385m with a 4.5m wheelbase and 3-35m track. The laden weight on the drive axle of the GH25 model has been reduced to 60 tonnes for deck loading operations.

The driver's seat is fully adjustable and powered hydrostatic steering comes as standard, with an electric indicator to show the angle of the steered wheels.

All the hydraulic controls feature low-pressure air servo assistance. Steering is by an electric hand control, and a neutral start interlock is fitted to prevent the truck from being started in gear. The driver's operating console can be power-rotated through 180°.

A universal carriage with power sideshift and fork-spread allows containers to be handled on drop forks with the ability to change quickly to a laden sidelift frame when required.

The GH series is powered by a Fiat diesel rated at 189kW. It offers capacities of 25 and 28 tonnes for two-high and three-high stacking models and for two models with an operating headroom of 2.9m,
