A LONDON Borough is transferring its commercial vehicle maintenance to the private sector.
From next month, a Sussex company, Highway Vehicle Maintenance, will take on the five-year contract to maintain all vehicles run by Conservativecontrolled Wandsworth council. The contract is worth £1.8m and is expected to save Wandsworth £1.5m over five years.
The council's vehicles will move to premises away from the existing central depot.
