PEGASO coaches are coming to Britain. Months of speculation have been ended by an advertisement in last week's CMfor a bus and coach sales manager to establish a dealer network for the Spanish coaches.
Seddon Atkinson, like Pegaso now part of the Spanish Government-owned Enasa group, is sole British concessionaire for Pegaso coaches and will have a separate stand for the coaches at the NEC Motor Show in October.
No decision has yet been taken about which models will be exhibited at the NEC, or of what models will eventually be available in Britain, and it is still uncertain whether any coaches will be on sale in time for the 1985 season.
It is likely, however, that a complete integral coach and a separate chassis will be on the stand which is quite separate from Seddon's lorry stand.
Seddon has no early plans to import any Pegaso or Sava goods vehicles to Britain, but believes there is potential for Pegaso coaches. It accepts that the market is crowded by competitors already, but is optimistic that its growing pan-European service netwrok and strong presence in Spain will make the coaches attractive.
