• The Historic Commercial Vehicle Club's annual run from London to Brighton gains in popularity each year. By the time the last vehicles reached Madeira Drive, Brighton, last Sunday for the judging
thousands of people were lining the route and thousands more had taken up vantage points on the promenade at both the lower and upper levels. The event is sponsored by the National Benzole Company and this year it attracted more than 220 entries out of which only one of the veterans required assistance on the last stage of the 56-mile journey.
Running repairs on the road included the stripping and rebuilding of a magneto for a Dennis bus on the roadside at Bolney.
