Bits Station: Castleford Council is applying to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government for sanction to borrow £20,489 for the first stage of a new bus station.

Scots Celebrate: A week-end conference was held by the Road Haulage Association Scottish Area, at Pitlochry, on April 29-30. the 150 members coming from places as far apart as Inverness and Dumfries. There was a business session on Saturday morning and a dinner dance in the evening.

Harness Display : Vehicle safety harnesses are featured at an exhibition being held in Scarborough by British Nylon Spinners, Ltd., in conjunction with the National Industrial Safety Conference. The exhibition opens today and closes on Sunday and includes examples of Autosafe, Irving, Lexington and Michael Richmond equipment, all of which incorporate nylon webbing.
